Sam Ayres
Sam Ayres is a junior at Yale University, where his cartoons appear weekly in the Yale Daily News.
Originally from Colorado, Sam attended Kent Denver School in Englewood. He began cartooning in 2002 for the school newspaper, The Sun Devils' Advocate, at the behest of his advisor Darryl Stafford. Inspired by the likes of Thomas Nast, Pat Oliphant, Mike Keefe, Matt Davies and others, he has continued cartooning ever since.
When not cartooning or studying, Sam enjoys flyfishing and golf in beautiful Colorado. On rainy days, however, The Daily Show or a good book will do the trick.
